How do I clean my blinds? Back

If they are 1-2-2.5” blinds or shutters, use a microfiber cloth
with no cleaning agents whatsoever. If it is a cloth type of product,
light dusting or vacuuming may be used. If it is soiled or stained
and you feel it needs professional cleaning, call us. We use an On-Site™ machine
that cleans your products in your home and leaves your products in
your home. |

What kind of warranty is provided? Back

A limited lifetime warranty is offered on 2” products against
fading, warping, splitting, cracking or yellowing. Slight warping of
wood is expected over time. The mechanisms and workmanship are guaranteed.
Abuse and neglect are not warranteed. Strings may wear out over time
and can be restrung for a nominal fee from the manufacturer. If you
are ordering on line and are installing them yourself, The Blind Guys
do not guarantee products, shipping, or installation. |

If I’m unable to, will The Blind Guys come install

Yes, in the Kansas City area there’s a minimum $100 fee to
install. If you are more than 50 miles outside the Kansas City area,
check your local phonebook or Lowe’s/Home Depot for installers
in your area. |

What if my blind is broken when it gets to me? Back

You have 10 business days to make a claim with the manufacturer or
shipper so be sure to check your boxes and products well. |

We strongly encourage you to check over your order carefully before
clicking on Purchase. Be sure to print out your detailed order as well.
Once you have ordered them and received them, there is no returning
them due to incorrect color or size. |

Can I put wood blinds in an area with high heat or high humidity? Back

Faux Wood blinds are recommended in these types of areas such as
a bathroom or over a sink. They are especially made to tolerate these
kinds of climates. We carry many types of brand name faux woodblinds
that are guaranteed against fading, warping, splitting, or chipping. |

What if I don't see the style of blind I would like to use? Back

We carry many major brands and all styles of blinds. If it's not
on our website, we must've ran out of room! There are many companies
out there and we would be more than happy to assist you with your choices.

What's the difference between semi-opaque and opaque? Back

Semi-opaque slight filtering allowing you to see and know that it
is daytime but blocks harmful or irritating rays of the sun from your
living space and eyes. Opaque is room darkening allowing no light through
the shade. The only light you should see is on the sides where it has
to clear the window opening. |

How do I add cloth tapes to my wood blinds? Back

your blinds. Tapes cannot be added to the blinds once they are made! |
